Today Israel came up to me on the rug during free time and wrapped his arms tightly around me. "I need a hug," he said, smiling widely.
"Thank you so much!" I answered. "I really, really needed a hug today too." (It was a hard day.)
Lucy and Aliyah slid over and attached themselves to us, making us into one big hug sandwich.
"It's been a long time since I've had a hug," Israel mused. Then, one second later, he corrected himself with a chuckle. "Actually, it's only been since I was walking to school this morning. But it feels like a really long time!"
You know, there are just some days that hugs cannot come often enough... :)
